Since moving to the Valley Mel has emersed herself in the Barossa lifestyle - that is good food, good wine and good company.  Not content with looking after the Cellar Door, Mel also lecturers at the local TAFE in wine and marketing.  Tune your dial to 89.1 FM while in the Valley between 11am and noon on a Saturday morning and you'll hear Mel on the local Wine Show talking about what's happening in the area and in the vines. 
 
With a big grin and bright bubbly personality Mel can’t wait to tell you what she has learnt about wine. A qualified chef, Mel is also great to talk to about food matching, although be prepared for a mouth watering conversation as she fills you in on her extravagant dinner parties.
 
Often found sneaking up behind the back shed for a taste or two, Mel has fallen for our range of fortified wine.  The latest varieties to be used include Merlot and Grenache. “Think smoky, oaky sweet nectar from the heavens” says Mel. The only problem is there might not be enough to go around if Mel has her way! Make sure you get a bottle of our Fortified Shiraz.
