What could be more Australian than a BBQ and a thong throwing competition to celebrate our country??? And by thong we mean the Australian thong worn on the feet, not the American one worn elsewhere!
At Whistler Wines you can sit back and enjoy a snag from the BBQ with a glass of refreshing Riesling, our ruby Rosé or any of our other wines. You can even bring your own food if you like and enjoy a picnic on the lawns, or purchase a BBQ treat cooked by Martin and support one of the local charities. No need to bring the wine, we’ve got that covered.
Children both young and old are entertained with organised games and of course the ever-competitive Barossa Thong Throwing Competition for which prizes are awarded. Come dressed as an Australian icon and you may end up with your photo in our newsletter or on our website with a few wines to accompany you home.
